 Verek Visaraga
Former Cal State Stanislaus player and CSU Stanislaus alum Verek Visaraga was named the women’s tennis program’s head coach when the program was reinstated to begin play in 2008-09. Visaraga began his part-time post at the position in November of 2007.

Since 2000, Visaraga has worked as a tennis professional at the Brenda Athletic Club and served as head coach of both the boys and girls tennis teams at Turlock High School. His high school teams have won six championships during his tenure and accumulated more than 250 match wins. He was named the Modesto Bee Coach of the Year in both 2002 and 2007.

Visaraga has also served as the tennis director and assistant pro for Brenda Athletic Clubs in Turlock since 1991 and was the junior tennis director for Brenda Athletic Clubs from 1996-1999.

As a player, Visaraga was an All-conference player at American River Junior College in Sacramento and also played at Cal State Stanislaus. Visaraga obtained his bachelor of arts degree at CSU Stanislaus in 1992 and has also earned a teaching credential from CSUS.

Visaraga and his wife, Heidi, have two children, Brenna (11) and Zoe (9), and they reside in Turlock.
