 Pam Johnson

Dr. Pamela Diehl Johnson is recognized as one of the foremost authorities in NAIA women's tennis. Besides serving as head coach of the Lady Jackets since 1977, she has been a member of the NAIA National Tournament Committee since 1985 and has held the position of National Tournament Director since 1989. In recognition of her outstanding leadership, she was inducted into the Cedarville University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996 and was named the NAIA Great Lakes Region Female Athletics Administrator of the Year for 1996-97.

Johnson has guided the Cedarville women's tennis program to a record of 199-99 for a .668 winning percentage. Her teams own one NAIA Region IX championship, seven NAIA District 22 championships, one American Mideast Conference title, two Mid-Ohio Conference titles, and two Western Buckeye Collegiate Conference crowns. She has taken nine teams to the NAIA National Tournament and has coached 19 NAIA All-America Scholar-Athletes.

Johnson is a Professor in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science and co-authored the book, Physical Fitness and the Christian. She is also an Executive Committee member of the Greene County Special Olympics.

Johnson is a 1970 graduate of the University of Dayton. She earned her master's degree (1971) and Ph.D. (1974) from The Ohio State University. Pam and her husband, Cliff, who is the Assistant to the President of Cedarville University, reside in Cedarville.
