 Jeff Bloomberg

After 10 years and 3 college coaching positions, Jeff Bloomberg has returned to once again take the helm at The College of Saint Rose. As the Head Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach at The College of Saint Rose for 2 years in the mid ‘90’s, Coach Bloomberg took the men's program, composed of virtually the same players, and helped them improve from 2-12 their first year to 6-8 the second with the #1 player improving to 13-3 from 3-13. On the women’ side the team’s #1 improved from 2-10 her first season to 9-3 her second. With the administration deciding to temporarily suspend the tennis program Bloomberg moved on to Russell Sage, Siena and finally to Stevens Institute of Technology before returning home to Saint Rose.

During his time away Jeff continued building successful programs while helping his players become the best they could be. He was the first coach at Russell Sage College to have team members named to the N.Y. State Women’s Collegiate All-State Tennis Team. While at Siena College the team and two of its members achieved national recognition by being ranked in the top 100 for the first time in the college’s history. At Stevens the men’s team he prepared over the past 2 years won 2 conference championships with a combined record of 29-10. Both men’s and women’s teams produced back to back conference Players of the Year.

Jeff, a USPTA Certified Teaching Professional, recently earned recognition from the USPTA as a Level I Participant.  A retired dentist, he resides in Old Chatham with his wife Joan. They have 2 adult daughters, Eliza and Anne.
