Coach Carter was born and raised in Gilmer, Texas. He is a 1990 graduate of Gilmer High School and was an honors graduate (Cum Laude) from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology.
Carter is starting his 3rd year here at LeTourneau University. The Yellowjackets are one of the up and coming programs in NCAA D-3. Doug was the 2005-06 ASC Men's Coach of the Year.
