Patricia Troiano was named the assistant women’s tennis coach at Purchase in the Fall of 2008 and also holds a position as Residence Coordinator on campus. Following the Fall season, Troiano replaced head coach Peter Nestel as the new head coach of the women's program. Troiano attended Western New England College from 2001-05 and was a two-sport athlete in tennis and softball.

In 2003, Troiano and her softball teammates swept the DIII NCAA New England Regional Tournament held at Wheaton College in Massachusetts. In the process, they became the first team in the institution’s history to compete in an NCAA National Championship. Her softball team received its highest national ranking, #10 in the nation, and was just recently inducted into the institution’s Hall of Fame.

She finished her college tennis career leaving high marks at the No. 1, 3, and 5 singles positions as well as the No. 1 and 2 doubles spots over three years.

Troiano and her doubles partner went undefeated at the two spot her senior year.

Troiano arrived to Purchase College after completing her Master’s degree in Sport Management, Physical Education and Recreation from Springfield College. While at Springfield, Troiano continued her time at Western New England as the Assistant Men’s (1 year) and Women’s (3 years) Tennis Coach and Assistant Softball (2 years) Coach. In addition to working as a Residence Coordinator, Troiano serves as a Physical Education Instructor and the Senior Women’s Administrator for the Department of Physical Education and Athletics at Purchase College.
