 Rob Bruley

Rob Bruley is in his fourth season at the helm of the SUNY New Paltz men’s and women’s tennis programs.

In his four years in charge of the women's program, Bruley has taken them from 2-14 in his first year to this season's 12-5, a new college record for the women's program.

The men's program has been above .500 in all of Bruley's four years in charge, with the team competing annually in the ITA Tournament at Vassar and the Metro Tournament at Flushing Meadow. Both the men's and women's programs are year-round programs.

A native of England, Bruley is a former standout athlete in many sports, including soccer, squash and tennis. He has played and coached extensively on the international level, including a stint leading the Corinthian Casuals Soccer Club, the most famous team in soccer history. More recently, he was the men’s and women’s squash coach at Bard College.

Bruley spends his summers coaching at the Lake Placid Soccer Center with his wife, Colleen, who is the women’s soccer coach at the university.
