TULSA, Okla. - Andy Bettles continued his trip to the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla., Friday with an impressive straight-set victory over 14th-ranked Tsvetan Mihov from South Carolina 6-2, 6-3. Bettles improves to 7-1 on the year with the win at the D. Case Tennis Center on the University of Tulsa campus.
The win advances Bettles, ranked 21st-nationally, into the back draw’s quarterfinals Saturday against Alex Sarkissian of Pepperdine, ranked 23rd in the ITA’s preseason rankings. A win would advance the Boise State senior into the semifinals against the winner of TCU’s Nick Chappell (No. 83) and UCLA’s Clay Thompson (No. 74).
