No. 15 Boise State Falls at No. 43 Oregon, 5-2
Boise State's men's tennis team was defeated 5-2 by the Oregon Ducks on Sunday afternoon in Eugene, Ore.

 

 

  • The 74th-ranked Broncos return home to Boise to begin a nine-match homestand this Sunday when the 71st-ranked Oregon Ducks come to town.
  • The Broncos look to get back on the winning track this week with a home victory over the Ducks. Boise State has played 11 of its first 14 matches on the road, it is 2-1 at home in Boise.
  • This will be the first match of the year for the Broncos to be played at the Appleton Tennis Center on campus (weather permitting).

LAST WEEK 

  • Boise State was in San Diego, Calif., last week where they competed in two events.
  • The Broncos sent their doubles team of Toby Mitchell and Garrett Patton to the Pacific Coast Doubles Championship (exhibition matches) where they split a pair of contests. They defeated a duo from UC San Diego 8-4 then fell 8-6 to a team from William & Mary College in the round of 64.
  • The team took on Mountain West opponent San Diego State on Sunday (March 8) where they fell 4-0 to the Aztecs to move to 1-1 in league play.

  • Next week the Broncos will continue the homestand with Arizona and Cal Poly.

ITA NATIONAL RANKINGS 

  • Boise State moved down nine spots in the latest ITA National rankings from No. 65 to No. 74.
  • The Broncos opened the season ranked 33rd.

QUICK LOOK AT BOISE STATE  

  • The Broncos are currently 5-9 overall entering the weekend.
  • The Broncos went 28-5 overall and finished the 2014 spring duals season ranked 29th.
  • Boise State at home: The Broncos are 2-1 at home in 2015.
  • The Blue and Orange went 14-1 at home last season competing at both the Boas Indoor Tennis Center and the Appleton Outdoor Tennis Center.
