Lya Kushnirovich is entering her first season as Head Coach of the Women’s Tennis Team at Brooklyn College.

The former team captain at Division I Binghamton University, Kushnirovich was named the Bearcats Most Valuable Player in both 2005 and 2006 and earned All-Conference Honors from the America East Conference three times. Her singles mark of 85-31 (.733) stands as the second-best in school history. She was also recognized as a Scholar-Athlete in 2006 and 2007, and was inducted into the National College Athlete Honor Society in 2006.

Kushnirovich has worked as an instructor at the Nike Tennis Camp and the Army Tennis Camp at West Point. She has served as a tennis instructor / hitting partner in her native Brooklyn since 2002.
