Charlie Hibard will once again lead the way for the East Central University women's tennis team this season. Active in the sport since her youth, Hibbard is in her 15th season as coach at the university.
ECU teams have enjoyed fantastic success under Hibbard, winning, several matches against some of the area's most respected teams while producing quality players. Hibbard has overseen the transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II .
A graduate of Southern Nazarene University, She & her husband, Tim, have 3 children, daughter Erin & sons, Sean & Cody. Hibbard beat breast cancer last season. "The teams & I fought all the way to the NCAA National Tourn. The boys lost in the 1st round & the girls in the 2nd round. It was a very exciting year." She was voted co-women's coach of the year in the Lone Star Conf. & men's coach of the year in both the conf. & central region.
