Coach Parr is coaching in his 13th season at Erskine. He is a native of Newberry, South Carolina. He is married to his wife of 31 years, Louise. They are the proud parents of two daughters Leona (22) and Elaine (20). Louise currently serves as the activity director at Presbyterian Home in Clinton.

Coach Parr is a 1980 Clemson graduate. During his time at Clemson, Coach Parr played on the mens team under the leadership of Coach Chuck Kriese. His senior year the Tigers won the ACC Championship and finished ranked 8th in the final NCAA poll.

Under Coach Parr's leadership the Lady Flying Fleet have enjoyed great success. Coach Parr's career overall record stands at 200-71 and his conference record stands at 125-23.  The Fleet have won the conference regular season titles seven of the last eight years (2005-2009 and 2011-2012) and has won the conference tournament title eight consecutive years (2005-2011) along with eight consecutive NCAA regional tournament appearances.

Coach Parr has earned recognition as CVAC Coach of the Year five times.  After the Fleet's great 04-05 season of 22-2, Coach Parr was named the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional coach of the year. In 2007 the USPTA named Coach Parr the South Carolina Coach of the Year.  He also earned Coach of the Year honors from the USTA - South Carolina in 2011.  Coach Parr feels like one of the program's greatest accomplishments is the fact that the past seven championship teams earned recognition by the ITA as All-Academic teams.
