 Neil Castro
Neil Castro, a native of Fresno, is in his sixth year at the helm of both the men's and women's tennis programs. Throughout his first five years, he has established a winning mentality. Castro has led the women's squad to five consecutive Golden State Athletic Conference titles and has the men on the same track with three consecutive titles. Currently, the women hold the longest active winning streak against GSAC opponents for all sports (70).

The success has continued onto the national level with five consecutive trips to the NAIA National Championship match for the women, and three for the men. The women's team captured the NAIA national title in 2010, after four consecutive years as the National Runner-Up. The men's team was runner-up in 2008 and 2010, and claimed its first NAIA national title in 2009. Castro was honored as NAIA National Coach of the Year for Men's Tennis in 2009 and for Women's Tennis in 2010.

While in college, Castro earned Central Valley Conference tennis Player of the Year honors at Fresno City College in both 1991 and 1992. He transferred to Fresno State, where he helped the Bulldogs to the NCAA Region VII Team Championship in 1994. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in Kinesiology in 1996.

Castro served as the assistant men’s tennis coach at Fresno State from 1997 through 2001. He also served as the director of tennis and head tennis professional at Copper River Country Club from 2000 to 2004.
