 Dan Moster, USPTA
Coach Moster began his professional tennis career more than twenty years ago. In 1988 he graduated from Ferris State University with a B.S. in Marketing/Professional Tennis Management. As a member of the first P.T.M. graduating class, Dan has worked as an assistant tennis professional, head tennis professional, director of tennis and multi-recreation facility manager. He also spent four years as a director of parks and recreation after establishing a tennis program for the same park and recreation department. Dan was certified as a professional level member of the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) in 1988 and is certified at a P-1 level. This is the highest level of certification with the USPTA. He is currently finishing his USPTA Master Professional requirements. The is the highest level of distinction with the USPTA. Dan is also a certified stringer with the United States Racquet Stringers Association (USRSA), holds USTA education certificates and has 20 years of USPTA education credits. Coach Moster began his team coaching career in 1990 and after coaching both boy and girl's high school tennis for ten years, he was hired in January of 2006 to be the first head men and women's tennis coach at Indiana Tech. The Indiana Tech Tennis Warriors are only in their third year of competition. He came to Indiana Tech after coaching the tennis teams at Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana for 5 years. Dan is a Past President of the Indiana High School Tennis Coaches Association and the Indiana United States Professional Tennis Association. He is currently the President for the Midwest Division of the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA). Dan is active with both the USTA and USPTA, as he has served as a Zonals Coach, USTA Star Search Scout and is the USTA Northern Indiana Marian Wood Baird Cup Coach for the Girls 18 and Under team. Dan has also served as a clinician for the USPTA's Developmental Coaches Workshop. He is a speaker throughout the Midwest during high school coaches' workshops and Midwest USPTA Conventions and is the volunteer coordinator and lead instructor for the Indianapolis Tennis Championship's (an ATP Tour Event) and its special tennis clinics and programs. Besides his volunteer work in the tennis industry and his coaching duties, Dan is the Director of Tennis at Orchard Ridge Country Club in Fort Wayne. In 1999 Dan was honored by receiving the Indiana Professional of the Year Award, from the USPTA Midwest Division.
