 Tony Cavett

Cavett beginning his fourteenth year as the men's tennis coach.

Cavett has over 25 years of coaching experience. He is a former Cleveland State Community College tennis coach, and served one season as the Lee assistant tennis coach before being named to the head coaching position in 1997.

Cavett is also the current teaching professional at the Cleveland Country Club, and has directed summer tennis camps for the City of Cleveland since 1974.

"We have a fine group of young men making up our tennis program," said Cavett. "We are very pleased that academically we are far superior to most of our opponents.

He added,"Competition in the Southern States Athletic Conference is as furious as anywhere in the nation. We are blessed with outstanding tennis facilities, and that has helped us land a few more quality players. If we can establish ourselves in the conference, we'll be able to play with anyone in the nation."

A 1975 graduate of Tusculum College, Cavett received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Organizational Management. He also holds a Applied Science degree from Cleveland State.
