Jackie Carleton is in her first season as the graduate assistant for the Lehigh men’s and women’s tennis programs. A three-time NCAA Division I All-American, Carleton brings a wealth of high level tennis experience to the Mountain Hawks’ program.
 
A three-time Pennsylvania State Champion, Carleton was a member of the USTA National Team and was ranked No. 1 in the nation in USTA Junior Tennis. Carleton began her college career at UCLA, where she was named to the All-Pac 10 in 2003 and 2004. In 2003, Carleton was named the Western Region Women’s Freshman Player of the Year and was one of just three freshmen to be named All-Americans.
 
Carleton then transferred to Duke University where she was named to the All-ACC team in 2006. During her college career, Carleton was ranked as high as No. 12 in the nation in singles and No. 2 in the nation in doubles. Carleton played on NCAA quarterfinal teams in 2003 and 2006, while her 2004 UCLA team reached the NCAA Finals.
 
Academically, Carleton was a two-year member of the UCLA Academic Honor Roll and a two-year member of the Duke Academic Honor Roll and the Academic All-ACC Team.
 
Carleton earned her Bachelors in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations and a Markets and Management certificate from Duke in 2006. Since graduating, Carleton has worked as an analyst for AIG in London, as a sports marketing coordinator for adidas in Portland, Ore., and most recently as the promotions manager for North and South America and Australia for the tennis brand Babolat. She spent last year at At Risk Tennis Coach for Colorado youth.
 
A native of Jenkintown, Pa., Carleton is currently enrolled in Lehigh’s Educational Leadership MA/MBA program. She has two brothers who play tennis, Reid was an All-American at Duke and is currently playing professionally, while Trip has been ranked as high as No. 20 in the nation and plays for the University of Florida.
