 Kent Norsworthy

Kent Norsworthy begins his second season at the helm of the North Georgia College & State University tennis programs.

Norsworthy took over last season for Rick Case, who stepped down as head coach but remained an assistant coach for the tennis program and taught classes in the Department of Education at NGCSU.

Norsworthy graduated from North Georgia in 2001, where he competed on the Saints tennis team all four years. He was named to the All-Conference team for the GACC in the 1997 and 1998 school year.

A native of Smyrna, GA, Norsworthy graduated from Mount Vernon Christian Academy and was a four-sport letterwinner in tennis, basketball, soccer and baseball. During his career, he was ranked in the top 20 in the state of Georgia for the 18-and under age division, and was also listed in the top 60 in the Southern rankings.

Since graduation in 2001, Norsworthy has been a teaching tennis professionally in Alpharetta and Duluth to all ages and abilities. He achieved certification by the USPTA (United States Professional Tennis Association) in 2001.
