EVANSTON, Ill. - Fans are invited to come out to the Combe Tennis Center Friday, Jan. 11 to meet the 2012-13 Northwestern men's and women's tennis teams.
From 6-7:30 p.m., fans of all ages and ability levels are invited to hit some balls with the teams and meet the personalities behind the games.
Northwestern's men's team is the first to get its duel meet season underway as it hosts Ball State at 10 a.m. and Western Michigan at 7 p.m. Sunday. The Wildcats are ranked No. 42 in the ITA National Team Rankings. Individually, senior Raleigh Smith is highest-ranked NU player at No. 108.
The Wildcat women begin their dual meet season ranked No. 13 as a team in the ITA rankings. Senior Kate Turvy is Northwestern's highest ranked individual at No. 67, while the doubles team of Linda Abu Mushrefova and Nida Hamilton is ranked No. 42. NU is in action Jan. 19-21 when it participates in the Virginia Invite in Charlottesville, Va.
