 Linda Park
Linda Park is entering her fourth season as head coach of the Occidental women's tennis team. Additionally, Park was named the Occidental Tennis Coordinator in October 2007. A native of San Marino, Park was a top-flight competitor in USTA Juniors, achieving a ranking of 10th in singles and 1st in doubles in the Southern California section before attending UC Berkeley, where she played tennis and graduated with a bachelor's degree in social welfare in 1991. Her highest nat'l ranking was 40 in singles and 7 in doubles. A former elementary school teacher, Park has taught private tennis lessons for many years throughout the San Gabriel Valley. "My philosophy in coaching is to emphasize team unity and encourage commitment," says Park. "Identifying personal and team goals will be the first steps to success. I enjoy this team and look forward to achieving our goals together." Park currently resides in South Pasadena with her husband Sam and 3 children, Matthew, Samantha, and Carissa. Sonny J., the family dog, also runs around with the Park clan.
