Coach Howell brings 35 years of tennis teaching/coaching experience, having worked with over 10 former All-Americans during his career. As a player, he was ranked  nationally #5 by the USTA for 6 years, and has been selected Pro of the Year four times, and Sr. Player of the Year twice. Coach Howell was inducted into the Ga. Professional Tennis Hall of Fame and recently selected an inductee for the GA Tennis Hall of Fame for 2010.  He was MVP and Captain of his Vanderbilt Team in 1970-71. He is determined to continue the progress the teams made this past year, by recruiting players who know how to win. The immediate goal is winning the tough SCAC Conference.
