Welcome to the Oglethorpe University Tennis Camps.
Peter Howell, the Head Tennis Coach at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA returns as the director of this excellent Junior Tennis Camp.(Formerely Nike Tennis Camp) Coach Howell brings 35 years of tennis teaching/coaching experience in the Atlanta area, having worked with over 10 former All-Americans during his career. As a player, he was ranked #5 by the USTA for 6 years, #1 in GA for many years. He has been selected Pro of the Year four times, and Sr. Player of the Year twice. Coach Howell was recently inducted into the Ga. Professional Tennis Hall of Fame.
Players have an opportunity to completely immerse themselves in the sport. Each camper is placed in a program appropriate to his or her skill level. Our staff tailors instruction to each camper’s requirements with our low student/ teacher ratio. We offer at least 30 hours of tennis instruction per session plus a variety of fun off-court activities.
