 Marisa Lambropoulos
Marisa Lambropoulos, a 2012 Illinois alumna, joined the Princeton women's tennis program as the Cornelia Drake and John Van Ryn Jr. '28 Assistant Coach of Women's Tennis on July 1, 2013.

"We are very excited to welcome Marisa to Princeton," Princeton head coach Laura Granville said upon Lambropoulos's hiring. "She was not only a fine college tennis player, but also demonstrated terrific sportsmanship and leadership throughout her career.  She will be a tremendous asset to our program."

Lambropoulos, a native of Lake Forest, Ill., earned her bachelor's degree in management from Illinois, where she ranked second in doubles wins in program history and sixth in singles wins. She earned second-team All-Big Ten honors and was an Academic All-America during her career while earning a sportsmanship honor from the Big Ten and the Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship award for the midwest region.

During her senior year, she finished with a doubles ranking of 42nd in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, and her Illini team was ranked as high as No. 18 during that season.

During the 2012-13 season, Lambropoulos served as a volunteer assistant coach at Oklahoma. Away from the collegiate circuit, Lambropoulos instructed at Illinois and Northwestern tennis camps, and she worked as a junior tennis coach at the College Park Athletic Club in Deerfield, Ill.
