Barte Claims Singles, Doubles Titles At ITA All-American Championships
Sunday, 10/10/2010

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif.- Senior Hilary Barte kicked off her 2010-11 campaign with a pair of titles, capturing the singles and doubles hardware on Sunday afternoon at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships.

In a battle of the tournament's top two seeds, second-seeded Barte defeated top-seeded Jana Juricova of California 7-6 (4), 6-3 to claim the second singles championship of her career.

All five of Barte's victories came in straight-sets and aside from taking the first set 7-6 (4) against Juricova on Sunday, the Stanford senior did not allow more than three games to her opponent in any other set throughout the tournament.

In the doubles championship match, Barte teamed with junior Mallory Burdette for a 6-3, 6-3 win over Clemson's team of Josipa Bek and Keri Wong. Barte and Burdette were playing together for the first time.
