 Justin Drzal
Volunteer Asst Coach
Stony Brook University
Justin Drzal is back for his seventh season as an assistant coach for the Seawolves under head coach Gary Glassman.

Prior to joining the Stony Brook staff, Drzal was the assistant tennis coach at the University of Virginia from 1998-2001. After undergraduate graduation, Drzal became one of the youngest Assistant coaches in the nation as he joined long-time ACC veteran Phil Rogers in Charlottesville. His efforts were rewarded in 2000, as Drzal was named the ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) Assistant Coach of the Year-East Region. Before departing at the conclusion of the 2001 season, Drzal helped coach the Cavaliers to an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships and a match-up against the University of Kentucky.

While finishing his Graduate degree in Education, Drzal then joined the coaching staff at Stony Brook University, working as an Assistant Coach for the Seawolves. Working with both the Men's and Women's teams starting in 2003, Drzal spends his time assisting with on-court coaching and practice. In 2006, Drzal aided the Men's Team in earning their first-ever trip to the NCAA Championships and a match with UCLA, the defending national champions.

Alongside his collegiate coaching stints, Drzal worked for nearly a decade with 4 Star Summer Camps. In his tenure as Tennis Director, Drzal has worked alongside more than 350 staff and supervised and taught close to 4000 campers. With Drzal as Director of the Tennis program, 4 Star was honored as one of the TOP 10 TENNIS CAMPS in the country by TENNIS MAGAZINE. Drzal has since continued his summer camp efforts in assisting Coach Glassman with Stony Brook's own tennis camp efforts.

While continuing his work with the Seawolves, Drzal is a Social Studies teacher in the Connetquot School District in Bohemia, NY.
