The Stony Brook women's tennis team was edged 4-3 by Army on Sunday afternoon. Paola Rodolfi, Erica Federgreen and Victoria Vovsha all picked up wins in the loss.

With the doubles matches all knotted up after Sandy Wijeratne and Claudia Sanua fell at No. 1 doubles, 4-8, and Federgreen and Rodolfi winning at No. 2 doubles, 8-5, the team of Beeler and Ford edged Vovahs and Brook Flanigan, 9-8, to seal the doubles point.

In singles, the Seawolves won three of the first five singles matches to knot the match up and 3-3 after Rodolfi won at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 7-6, Federgreen won at No. 4, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 and Vovsha won a three set battle at No. 5, 1-6, 6-0, 6-3. Army was able to clinch the match when Limsiaco outlasted Flanigan at No. 6 singles, 4-6, 7-6, 6-0.

The Seawolves return to action on February 23 when they hit the road to take on Lehigh.
