WIMBLEDON, England--  Former LSU tennis player Ken Skupski capped his run at Wimbledon on Saturday with doubles partner Katie O’Brien in the second round of mixed doubles at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

 

Skupski and O’Brien defeated Ashley Fisher and Abigail Spears with a straight-set victory on Thursday, 6-4-, 6-4, to advance into the second round to face Andre Sa and Ai Sugiyama.

 

Skupski and O’Brien dropped the first set to Sa and Sugiyama, 6-3.  Skupski and O’Brien battled back in the second set, but fell just short after Sa and Sugiyama won match with a final 7-6 mark.
