UT senior Dimitar Kutrovsky and junior Ed Corrie begin play on Thursday in the singles draw.
WHAT: A pair of Longhorns head to the east coast this week to begin play at the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships, one of three national championship events on the college tennis calendar.
WHEN: Thursday, Nov. 5 – Sunday, Nov. 8
WHERE: Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center - New Haven, Conn.
WHO: Texas senior Dimitar Kutrovsky and junior Ed Corrie will compete in the 32-player singles draw. Kutrovsky received a wild card, while Corrie earned an automatic berth into the event by winning the singles draw at the ITA Texas Regional Championships last week.

LAST TIME OUT: Corrie and Kutrovsky went head-to-head in the singles finals on Nov. 1 at the Texas Invitational. Corrie took the first set, 6-3, but Kutrovsky rallied to take the next two sets, 6-2 and 7-5 to capture the singles title.
THE 2009-10 LONGHORNS: Texas returns four singles starters from the 2008-09 squad that put UT into the NCAA semifinals for the third time in four seasons. Senior All-American Dimitar Kutrovsky opens the season at No. 6 in the ITA national preseason singles rankings. Juniors Ed Corrie and Kellen Damico rank 46th and 47th, respectively, in the ITA singles rankings. Kutrovsky and senior Josh Zavala come in at No. 13 in the ITA doubles rankings.
