STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Mississippi State men’s tennis team will compete in their final tournament of what has been a successful fall for the Bulldogs at the Virginia Tech Invitational, in Blacksburg, Va. Competition will begin on Friday, Nov. 6.

MSU will participate against three other schools in individual competition, including host-school Virginia Tech, Clemson and SEC-foe Arkansas.

MSU has seen several successful individual efforts this fall, most recently with sophomores Artem Ilyushin and Louis Cant reaching the first round of the main draw at the Birmingham Futures.

“At times we have been successful this fall,” said head coach Per Nilsson. “We seem to be improving with every tournament we go to, which was our goal when we started playing these tournaments. Now we have to finish strong and take what we have learned this fall and carry it over to the spring.”

The event will conclude on Sunday, Nov. 8, which will conclude the Bulldogs fall season.
