UT junior Ed Corrie to take on Florida’s Alex Lacroix in Sunday’s consolation finals.

 

                NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Texas junior Ed Corrie registered a pair of straight-set singles victories to advance to the finals of the singles consolation bracket Saturday on day three of the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships.

                Corrie (Harpendon, England) opened the day by posting a 7-5, 6-4 consolation quarterfinal victory over Kentucky’s Eric Quigley.  For the second time in as many weeks, Corrie faced off against Baylor’s Jordan Rux, and Corrie went on to post a 6-3, 6-4 win in the consolation semifinals.

Corrie will take on Florida’s Alex Lacroix in Sunday’s consolation finals at 11 a.m. Central.
