ATHENS, Ga. - Boise State senior Damian Hume will face Kentucky’s Alex Musialek in the first round of the 2012 NCAA Men's Tennis Championships, Wednesday. The first-round match will begin at 2:30 p.m. ET at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
Musialek enters the tournament with a 28-10 overall record and is in the second group of seeded players, ranging from Nos. 9-16 nationally. The senior holds a 106-47 career record at Kentucky and will be looking to make a run in his final NCAA Tournament.
Hume is the 10th player in Boise State history to be selected to compete in the singles tournament, joining the ranks of teammate James Meredith and assistant coach Clancy Shields.
The native of Johannesburg, South Africa went 30-6 this season with a 17-2 dual-match record and owns the highest winning percentage of any Bronco (.833).
