AN FRANCISCO – Boise State tennis’ Scott Sears defeated J.T. Boyd in the first round of the Battle in the Bay Classic, Friday.

The sophomore’s match came down to a dramatic finish after losing the first set 6-2. Sears rallied back to win the second set, 6-3, and the third set in a tiebreak fashion 7-6 (11-9).
