La Quinta, Calif. - UCLA women's tennis player Robin Anderson claimed two titles on Sunday, winning both the singles and doubles championships at the National Collegiate Tennis Classic, which was held this weekend at the La Quinta Resort & Club.

Anderson, the nation's sixth-ranked singles player, dropped the first set against USC's Giuliana Olmos in Sunday's singles final. Fortunately for UCLA, Anderson found her stride in the next two sets, storming back for a 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 victory. Anderson is now 14-0 in singles play dating back to the fall season.

Anderson also took home the doubles title at La Quinta, teaming with Skylar Morton for an 8-6 victory over USC's Gabrielle DeSimone and Zoe Scandalis.

Freeman Memorial Championships (Las Vegas, Nev.)
UCLA also wrapped up play at the Freeman Memorial Championships in Las Vegas, Nev. on Sunday. Defending doubles champions Courtney Dolehide and Pamela Montez were beaten in the semifinals of doubles play, suffering an 8-4 loss to USC's Kaitlyn Christian and Sabrina Santamaria.

In back draw action in Las Vegas on Sunday, Chanelle Van Nguyen beat North Carolina's Tessa Lyons, 6-2, 6-2. She also teamed with Kyle McPhillips in doubles, beating Lauren McHale and Gina Suarez-Malaguti, also from North Carolina, 8-4.

UCLA opens up the 2013 dual-match season next week, hosting San Diego on Saturday at Noon. The match is part of ITA Kick Off Weekend, an event to determine which teams will travel to the USTA/ITA National Team Indoor Championships next month in Charlottesville, Va.
