CORAL GABLES, Fla.  - The University of Miami women's tennis team is serving as one of 15 host sites during this weekend's 2013 ITA National Indoor Qualifier, with UM hosting Friday and Saturday at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center. The winner(s) from each host site will then head to Charlottesville, Va., Feb. 8-11 for the ITA National Indoor Finals.

The Hurricanes will be joined by teams from the 56th-ranked University of Hawaii, 35th-ranked Arizona State University and 44th-ranked Oklahoma University for the weekend affair. The matches begin on Friday, Jan. 25 at 10 a.m. with the University of Miami taking on Hawaii. That match will be followed promptly at 2 p.m. by Arizona State vs. Oklahoma.

"We need to stay on target this weekend and not take any team lightly," Miami head coach Paige Yaroshuk-Tews said. "I want to begin with great doubles on Friday and move from there.  We have three very solid teams coming to town and our focus needs to stay on playing aggressive with a lot of discipline."

Miami (2-0) enters the weekend ranked No. 9 in this week's ITA poll, staying put at that position from three weeks ago after victories over Florida Atlantic and No. 24 Illinois. UM also claimed the Miami Spring Invite in which No. 11 Texas, No. 14 Texas A&M and No. 26 Vanderbilt paid a visit to the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

The Canes are led by three players ranked in the polls, including a pair of freshmen, Kelsey Laurente (No. 51) and Stephanie Wagner (No. 92). Sophomore Lina Lileikite is also ranked at No. 57.  Though not ranked yet, the doubles team of Laurente and junior Brittany Dubins upset the seventh-ranked tandem of Texas A&M's Cristina Stancu and Stefania Hristov this past weekend.

The second day of action will feature the consolation match beginning at 10 a.m. The championship match will begin at 2 p.m., or 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first match.
