SEATTLE -- No. 23 Washington (3-2) continues its stretch of home matches this weekend when it hosts No. 36 Santa Clara and No. 38 Boise State. The Dawgs tune up against two more quality opponents as it readies for the ITA National Indoors on Feb. 15-18.

The Dawgs are coming off a split last weekend against No. 7 Pepperdine and Portland. Washington fell 6-1 to the Waves in a competitive match, before handling Portland, 6-1. Kyle McMorrow was the star of the week, improving to 5-0 at No. 1 singles. He beat No. 6 Sebastian Fanselow of Pepperdine for the lone Husky point against the Waves.

The Dawgs are still without a ranked player with the new ITA individual rankings not being released until February 12. McMorrow will surely climb high in the rankings as he did not compete enough in the fall to earn the initial ranking.

Santa Clara is coming off the ITA Kickoff Weekend where they fell to No. 20 Michigan in the first round, but defeated Boise State in the consolation match. Overall, the Broncos are 3-1 on the season and led by No. 1 singles player John Lamble who is ranked 65th in the country. Santa Clara will be the third-straight West Coast Conference opponent for Washington after having faced Pepperdine and Portland last week and the fourth opponent from the conference this season, which also includes Gonzaga. The Dawgs are 8-0 all-time against Santa Clara.

Boise State comes to town Sunday after losing both matches at the ITA Kickoff Weekend. The Broncos are 2-2 on the season, losing to No. 14 California and Santa Clara last weekend. Andy Bettles leads Boise State with his No. 28 national ranking, although he was upset twice at the ITA Kickoff. Washington is 13-5 all-time against Boise State, but was upset last season by the Broncos in Boise, 4-3.

Following this weekend's matches, Washington will have one final tuneup against Eastern Washington on February 8. The ITA National Team Indoors will be hosted by the Dawgs at the Nordstrom Tennis Center and the Seattle Tennis Club.
