BATON ROUGE - The LSU men's tennis team (4-1) has moved up to No. 24 in the ITA rankings. Last week, the Tigers defeated No. 57 Rice (2-5) 4-3 at W.T. "Dub" Robinson Stadium.

The Virginia (6-0) remains atop the ITA rankings for the sixth straight week since the season started.

The SEC's presence in the rankings remains evident. Eight of LSU's SEC opponents are ranked in the Top 25, and the four remaining SEC opponents are ranked in the Top 75.

Kentucky (10-2) is ranked No. 6, Georgia (5-3) comes in at No. 8, Ole Miss (5-2) is No. 10, followed by Mississippi State (8-2) at No. 11, with Tennessee (12-3) coming in at No. 13, Texas A&M (7-3) at No. 14, Florida (6-3) at No. 16, Auburn (7-1) at No. 21, Vanderbilt (7-3) at No. 33, South Carolina (7-3) at No. 48, Arkansas (10-3) at No. 52, and Alabama (7-3) coming in at No. 55.

Additionally, LSU will take on two non-conference teams this season currently ranked in the Top 25, including No. 4 Ohio State (10-2) and No. 23 Michigan (4-3).

So far this season, the Tigers have delivered losses to No. 30 Indiana (6-5), No. 56 South Florida (4-3), and No. 57 Rice.

This Friday, LSU takes on No. 27 Texas Tech at the Dub at 3 p.m. CT. Come early and enjoy some free crawfish served 45 minutes prior to the match.
