EUGENE, Ore.—The No. 45 University of Oregon men’s tennis team returns to the UO Student Tennis Center on Saturday to take on the Portland Pilots at 1 p.m. The Ducks are 9-1 after dropping their match against No. 19 Washington 2-5 and bouncing back to defeat UNLV 6-1 in Seattle, Wash.

The Pilots are 6-3 on the season after losing a home match to Idaho 3-4 and have a match against Portland State at 2 p.m. the day before it takes on UO. Portland’s duo of Michael Hukwo and Jackson Martin is ranked 57th nationally by itatennis.com.

Oregon’s top duo of junior Robin Cambier and senior Jeff Mullen are an impressive 9-0 thus far, while junior Alex Rovello and freshman Daan Maasland have split their 8-0 record between the second and third spots. Sophomore Daniel Sardu and senior Aaron Clissold are 6-0, playing the majority of their matches in the No. 2 spot. The Ducks dropped their only doubles match of the season against Washington and are a combined 27-1 in doubles play.

Cambier (8-1) and Maasland (9-1) lost their undefeated singles records in the loss to Washington, while Rovello won both of his matches last weekend to bring him to 9-1. Sardu is also 9-1 on the season after missing the Washington and UNLV matches. The Ducks are 48-12 overall in singles, posting 9-1 records in the two, three and four spots.

After the match, the team will be hosting the Campus Kids Day, a free kids clinic. Kids 12 years of age and under are invited to participate, but they must bring their own non-marking tennis shoes and racket. The clinic will run for approximately an hour and will begin shortly following the conclusion of the match. Food and drink will be provided for all participants. Parents can register their kids to attend the clinic following the men’s tennis match vs. Portland by clicking here. Registration is not required but encouraged.

A full recap with statistics from each match will be available following action from the Student Tennis Center on the UO athletics website, www.goducks.com. Admission to tennis matches at the UO Student Tennis Center is free.
