TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The eighth-ranked women's tennis team (12-1, 4-0 SEC) will host in-state rival Auburn (14-1, 4-0 SEC), ranked 17th, on Friday at The University of Alabama Tennis Stadium at 5 p.m. CT. Admission is free, and fans in attendance will be treated to a cookout at the courts, sponsored by the Crimson Racket Club.

Alabama is coming off an impressive weekend, dominating the Arkansas Razorbacks, 5-2, and LSU Tigers, 6-1. The Tide has gotten solid play from the bottom of its lineup thus far in league action as senior Antonia Foehse, sophomore Emily Zabor and freshmen Maya Jansen and Natalia Maynetto are each undefeated at their respective positions.

Alabama currently has four players ranked in the ITA rankings for singles, with No. 25 Mary Anne Macfarlane, No. 60 Alexa Guarachi, No. 73 Jansen and No. 115 Maynetto. The Tide also boasts the No. 6 doubles team in the nation with Guarachi and Macfarlane.

Auburn is coming off a weekend in which they too defeated LSU and Arkansas handily, blowing past the Tigers, 7-0, and the Razorbacks, 6-1.

The Tigers have one player ranked nationally in singles with freshman Pleun Burgmans coming in at No. 51. They also have two doubles teams ranked nationally with the duos of sophomore Jen Pfeifler and junior Jackie Kasler at No. 47 and Burgmans and senior Plamena Kurteva at No. 54.

The Tide won last year's meeting between the two teams, edging Auburn 4-3, and have the advantage in the all-time series as well, posting a 30-24 record against the Tigers.
