TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The eighth-ranked women's tennis team (14-2, 6-1 SEC) continues Southeastern Conference play this weekend when it welcomes Kentucky (12-7, 3-5 SEC) and No. 19 Vanderbilt (11-8, 4-4 SEC) to Tuscaloosa. Friday's match against the Wildcats is slated to begin at 3 p.m. CT, while Sunday's match versus the Commodores will start at 1 p.m. CT.

Last weekend, the Crimson Tide split a pair of matches, falling 4-1 at No. 2 Florida on Friday before beating South Carolina, 4-1, on Sunday. In Friday's loss to the Gators, Alabama rallied to take the doubles, point, winning 9-8(9) on court one. From there, however, the Gators would win four straight singles matches to take the team victory. Sunday's match played out in exact opposite fashion for the Tide as the Gamecocks won the doubles point before Alabama took four straight wins in singles.

Kentucky has lost four of its last five matches, including losses to Tennessee and No. 5 Georgia last week. The Wildcats are led by Nadia Ravita, who holds a 6-2 record at the No. 1 singles position against SEC opponents.

Vanderbilt has dropped its last three matches, falling to Mississippi, No. 5 Georgia and Tennessee. The Commodores have gotten solid play from the bottom of their lineup, giving up a combined nine matches all season. Ashleigh Antal and Georgina Sellyn each lead the way against SEC competition, holding a 7-1 league record in singles.
