COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The 12th-ranked Texas A&M men’s tennis team travels to 27th-ranked Auburn this weekend looking to rebound after dropping three-straight matches to top-five opponents this past week. The Aggies enter the contest at 13-10 and 4-4 in Southeastern Conference action while the Tigers come in with a 12-7 mark and a 4-5 record in conference. First serve is slated for 5 p.m. on Friday at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.

The Aggies are led in singles by 93rd-ranked freshman Shane Vinsant with a 14-6 record which includes a 4-2 mark in conference play. The Keller, Texas, native is 11-6 from the No. 4 singles line.

 

Following Vinsant is 40th-ranked sophomore Jeremy Efferding with a record of 13-7. The Boca Raton native sits at 5-3 in conference action and 4-3 from the top singles line.

 

Harry Adams also features a double-digit win total, boasting a 12-7 mark in dual matches. The New Braunfels native holds a 9-4 record from the No. 3 line and stands at 3-2 from that position in the Southeastern Conference.

 

Jordan Szabo is primed to earn his 30th-collegiate win with a victory on Friday. The Australian sits at 10-8 on the spring and holds a 4-4 record from the No. 6 singles line.

 

118th-ranked Jackson Withrow has played in limited action in the spring due to an injury, but holds a 7-5 record on the season. The Omaha native has a 5-3 mark from the No. 5 singles line and features a 2-1 record in SEC play.

 

Junior Ore rounds out the projected singles lineup for Texas A&M. The junior holds a 7-12 record on the spring with a 3-3 mark from the No. 2 singles line.

 

The Maroon and White feature two top-25 doubles tandems in the 12th-ranked pair of Ore and Withrow as well as the 25th-ranked duo of Adams and Vinsant. Ore and Withrow hold a 13-5 (5-2, SEC) record with all 13 wins coming from the top doubles position. The freshmen pair of Adams and Vinsant also features a 13-5 (6-1) record. A victory on Friday would give them their 30th-doubles win at Texas A&M. Rounding out the projected doubles lineup for the Aggies is the sophomore duo of Efferding and Szabo with a 10-7 record and a 3-2 mark in conference action.

 

Auburn enters the matchup as winners of two of its last three matches. The Tigers are led in singles by 34th-ranked Andreas Mies with a 13-4 record, including a 6-3 mark in SEC play. All Mies’ wins have come from the No. 1 singles line. Following Mies is 105th-ranked Lukas Ollert with a 13-4 mark on the spring. Ollert is 11-3 from the No. 3 line with a 5-2 record in conference action. 106th-ranked Daniel Cochrane rounds out the ranked foes for the Tigers. Cochrane sits at 9-9 on the season with a  3-5 mark in conference. All three doubles duos for the Tigers feature double digit wins as well as the No. 5 tandem in the country in Cochrane and Mies. The fifth-ranked pair is 10-5 from the top doubles position, going 1-4 in conference play. Dennis Lengsfeld and Lucas Lopasso have played the No. 2 line all spring, boasting a 15-4 mark with a 6-3 record in conference. Rounding out the projected doubles lineup for the Tigers is Joseph van Dooren and Ollert. The pair stands at 10-4 (5-2, SEC) with all decisions coming from the No. 3 line.
