WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The No. 23 Purdue women’s tennis team picked up a conference win on Saturday. The Boilermakers knocked off Wisconsin, 5-2, on the Basham Courts inside the Schwartz Tennis Center.
 
Purdue (14-3, 6-2 B1G) stormed though doubles on its way to clinching the point. Gisella Pere and Tess Bernard-Feigenbaum dominated their match at No. 3. The duo defeated Lauren Burich and Helen Rabot, the younger sister of former Purdue tennis standout Jennifer Rabot, 8-2. Lynda Xepoleas and Daniela Vidal clinched the match with a victory at No. 2. The duo defeated Katie Hoch and Anastasia Tripolskay, 8-4.
 
Bernard-Feigenbaum played an outstanding singles match to give Purdue a 2-0 lead. The freshman barely lost a point, let alone a game, as she cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Burich at No. 4. Krisztina Kapitany played her first career match at No. 6. The freshman defeated Rabot, 6-2, 6-0, to put Purdue within a point of clinching the win.
 
Wisconsin (4-15, 2-6) got on the board with a win at No. 2. Lauren Chypyha beat Xepoleas in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2. The Badgers brought the score to 3-2 with a win at the top singles spot. Hannah Berner knocked off Mara Schmidt, 6-4, 1-6, 6-1.
 
The Boilermakers clinched the match when Vidal won at No. 3. She beat Tripolskay, 7-5, 6-4. Pere rounded out the match with a win at No. 5. She beat Hoch in a three-set match, 6-1, 6-7, 6-2.
