NORMAN, Okla. -- OU men's tennis head coach John Roddick announced today that Andrew  Harris (Melbourne, Australia) has signed a National Letter of Intent to become an Oklahoma Sooner in fall 2013.

"We are very excited to sign Andrew," Roddick said. "He is a tremendous competitor and I look forward to seeing him competing in Crimson and Cream. Andrew is also an excellent student and will be a great fit at the university."

Two of Harris's most notable accomplishments are winning doubles at both the 2012 Wimbledon Junior Championships and Roland Garros Junior French Championships.

"Being a Wimbledon and French Open junior champion will certainly bring an extremely high level of tennis on the court," Roddick said.

The Australian standout reached as high as No. 6 in the ITF juniors combined ranking.

Harris has a current ATP singles ranking of 1,572. His career high in singles is 992, which he achieved in July 2012.
