OJAI, CALIF. -- USC junior Kaitlyn Christian has another busy day on tap in Ojai tomorrow. Fortunately, she'll have her trusty teammate Sabrina Santamaria for some extra energy to feed off for one of tomorrow's title matches out at the Pac-12 Championships. The top-seeded Trojan tandem of Christian/Santamaria have fought their way back to the Pac-12 Doubles final, where the duo aims to defend its 2012 title. Christian also has some more singles work to do, as the junior has worked her way through the Invitational singles bracket to play for that title tomorrow morning.
Christian's singles final is set for 8 a.m. tomorrow (April 28). She'll face Stanford's Ellen Tsay in the title match, thanks to Christian's powerful 6-2, 6-0 win over UCLA's Skylar Morton in today's semifinals.
On the doubles scene, Christian and Santamaria secured their return trip to the title match with a strong 8-4 win over Stanford's Tan/Tsay in today's semifinals. The Trojan duo will now face UCLA's Dolehide/Montez for the rights to the 2013 Pac-12 Championship, to be played at 1 p.m. tomorrow.
