NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma men's tennis team was selected to compete in the 2013 NCAA Championships and will host one of 16 regional sites for the fourth consecutive year, announced by the NCAA Tuesday.

The Sooners earned the 14th overall seed as an automatic qualifier for the championship after winning their second straight Big 12 title Sunday.

First and second round competition will take place Friday, May 10, and Saturday, May 11, at the Headington Family Tennis Center. No. 14 Oklahoma faces Wichita State in the first round on Friday. No. 22 Auburn and No. 38 North Carolina State complete the men's bracket for the Norman Regional.

Oklahoma will play Wichita State at 2 p.m. Friday, with Auburn and NC State opening regionals at 10 a.m. The winners of each match will face each other Saturday at 2 p.m.

Tickets may be purchased beginning Wednesday, May 1, at 8 a.m. CT online at SoonerSports.com and by calling the OU Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-456-GoOU (4668) or (405) 325-2424.

Single-session only tickets are available. Each day is a single session and a ticket is good for general admission for all matches that day. Prices are $5 for adults, $3 for youth (3-18), senior citizens (55+) and OU students who present a valid student ID. Children 2 and under receive free admission. A group ticket rate of $3 each is also available to parties of 10 or more purchased in advance.

"It was nice to see some non-regional matchups," OU head coach John Roddick said. "It will be nice to see some fresh faces."

The winner of each site advances to the NCAA Division I Tennis Championships at the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex/Atkins Tennis Center in Urbana, Ill., hosted by the University of Illinois-Champaign.

The Sooners (19-6, 4-1 Big 12) opened their 2012 season by sweeping the Shockers (17-7), 7-0, in Norman on Jan. 22. Wichita State clinched a spot in the NCAA Championships by upending No. 27 Drake, 4-3, in the finals of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Sunday, May 28 in Wichita, Kan.

"Wichita State beat a very good Drake team in its conference finals," Roddick said. "Wichita State, Auburn and NC State all have very good teams and it will be a tough weekend of tennis."

Auburn (13-10) was ousted in the second round of the SEC Tournament after falling to No. 16 Vanderbilt, 4-1. NC State (13-10) was ousted from the ACC Championships after losing to No. 26 Clemson, 4-2.

Individual selections for the Division I Men's Tennis Championships will be announced in a release Wednesday, May 1, at 6 p.m.
