SKILLMAN, NJ: Courtesy of the ITA - (May 2) – Heading into the 2013 NCAA DI Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships, the UCLA men and Florida women stayed atop the ITA DI College Tennis Rankings. The Bruins earned the No. 1 seed in the NCAA DI Men’s Championship draw for the first time since 1999, and will be looking for their first national title since 2005. The Gators enter the DI Women’s Championship looking for their third consecutive national crown, having defeated Pac-12 foes Stanford and UCLA in the title match the last two seasons.

In the individual rankings, Tennessee’s Mikelis Libietis jumped into the No. 1 spot in the men’s singles rankings while Florida’s Lauren Embree enjoyed a seventh straight week as the nation’s top female player. Moving to doubles, Tennessee’s Mikelis Libietis and Hunter Reese remained No. 1 in doubles, giving Libietis the top ranking in both singles and doubles, a first in the history of the Vols men’s tennis program. For the women, Georgia’s Kate Fuller and Silvia Garcia remained No. 1 for a third straight week.
