COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas' match against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the NCAA Men's Tennis Championship First Round has been delayed to a 1:45 p.m. CT first serve due to rain.
The Longhorns and Islanders were originally scheduled to begin tournament play at 11 a.m. CT on Friday.
The National Weather Service reports "likely showers and the possibility of a thunderstorm throughout Friday in College Station. Some storms could be severe, with heavy rain. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent."
There are no plans in order to use a backup indoor facility on Friday.
