BOISE, Idaho - Boise State junior Andy Bettles was named the Mountain Region Player to Watch by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association while Bronco assistant coach Clancy Shields was named Mountain Region Assistant Coach of the Year for the 2013 season.
Bettles is 23-6 this spring at the No. 1 position for the Broncos and qualified for the NCAA Singles Tournament. The draw for that tournament has yet to be announced. The junior was ranked 40th in the latest ITA Rankings, May 2.
Shields is in his third year at Boise State and will take over as head coach at Utah State beginning next season.
