URBANA, IL—The Aggie All-American duo of Junior Ore and Jackson Withrow dropped a close match to the Georgia Tech tandem of Vikram Hundal and Juan Spir, 6-4, 7-5, in the Round of 16 in the 2013 NCAA Doubles Championships being held at the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex/Atkins Tennis Center in Urbana, Illinois.

“Our boys lost a very tough match today with only one service break in each set,” Texas A&M head coach Steve Denton said. “We actually had more break points than they did, but we just could not convert. The guys are very disappointed, but they have to realize that they had a great year, an All-American season. The good news is that they will be back next year for another shot.”

Ore is a junior from Gaithersburg, Maryland, and Withrow is a sophomore from Omaha, Nebraska. The Aggie tandem end the spring with a15-10 record.

The Texas A&M men’s tennis team advanced to the NCAA Championships for the 20th consecutive season and the Aggies reached the Round of 16 for the second time in the past three seasons. Aggie coach Steve Denton loses one senior (Niall Angus) from the squad.
