Jeff Dadamo and Austin Krajicek fell in the qualifying round of the U.S. Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on Wednesday afternoon.
Krajicek, a four year All-American in doubles while at Texas A&M, fell to No. 17 seed Go Soeda of Japan, 6-4, 7-6 (6) in the opening round of the qualifying draw while Dadamo, who also brought All-America accolades to Aggieland dropped his match to Guillermo Olaso of Spain, 6-4, 6-3.
Dadamo and Krajicek, both Florida natives, helped Texas A&M claim its first NCAA Doubles Dhampionship in 2011 as well as win the prestigious USTA/ITA Indoor National doubles crown in 2010.
In addition to their national championship run, Krajicek and Dadamo have both etched their names throughout the Aggie record book. Krajicek holds the school record for career doubles victories with 79 and is ranked sixth in career singles wins with 71. As a tandem, the pair is tied for the most doubles wins in a season (24) which came during their national championship run in 2011.
