The April 1st CTO/MDTA Division 1 Men’s Coaches Poll is out and the Oklahoma Sooners (19-1) remain at #1 for the 4th poll in a row. Over the past week and a half Oklahoma has knocked off Texas, TCU, Baylor, and Columbia. The Sooners return to the courts tonight as they host Tulsa and then the following weekend they go to Baylor and Texas Tech.
POLL RESULTS: CTO/MDTA | ITA RANKINGS
Baylor (16-3) stays at #2 after picking up wins over Incarnate Word and UT Arlington last weekend and the week before they knocked off USC before falling to Oklahoma. Baylor is back in action tonight against Seminole Community College before hosting Oklahoma and Oklahoma State the following weekend.
Illinois (17-3) remains at #3 after beating Ohio State and Penn State last weekend. The Illini go on the road this weekend to face Michigan and Michigan State and the following weekend they’ll host Iowa and Nebraska.
Virginia (14-3) comes up to #4 after picking up big conference wins last weekend over Duke and North Carolina. Next up for Virginia are home matches against William & Mary and Virginia Tech. The following weekend the Cavs welcome in Georgia Tech and Louisville.
USC (16-3) is at #5 this week after picking up wins over the weekend against Washington and Oregon. The Trojans will host Utah and Arizona this weekend and the following weekend they go to Cal and Stanford.
Georgia (16-2), Texas A&M (14-3), Texas (15-3), Duke (17-3), and TCU (15-6) come in at 6-10. Ohio State (16-7), UCLA (11-6), Virginia Tech (14-2), Ole Miss (13-6), and Wake Forest (12-6) are 11-15. Vanderbilt (16-6), Florida (10-6), North Carolina (14-8), Tulsa (15-9), and Columbia (8-5) are 16-20. South Florida (13-5), Louisville (19-4), Cal (14-5), San Diego (14-4), and Mississippi State (15-5) round out the final 5 spots.
Also receiving votes but not garnering enough to make this week’s Top 25 are Northwestern, Minnesota, LSU, Oklahoma State, and Notre Dame.
