BLACKSBURG, Va. - Boise State's men's tennis team fell 4-0 in the opening round of the NCAA Men's Tennis Tournament to No. 18 South Florida Friday morning in Blacksburg, Va. Boise State was led by the doubles team of Thomas Tenreiro and Lewis Roskilly who upset the 28th-ranked pair of Oliver Pramming and Justin Roberts from South Florida 8-6. 

Unfortunately, that was the lone victory for the 63rd-ranked Broncos on Friday. The loss eliminated Boise State from the tournament and ended the Broncos' season at 15-16 overall. The South Florida Bulls improved to 22-6 overall with the win.

Tenreiro and Roskilly pulled the Broncos even in doubles play defeating Pramming and Roberts on court one. It was the biggest win of the season for the Boise State tandem upsetting the nationally ranked team. The All-Mountain West tandem finished the year with a team-best 19-6 overall record, 10-5 on court one.

Prior to that the Bulls had earned an 8-3 victory on court two, then wrapped up the team doubles point with a 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles.

Garrett Patton and Tenreiro led the Broncos in singles both claiming opening set victories over nationally ranked opponents. Neither completed their contests as they had both moved into third sets when their matches were abandoned with the clinching of the team victory. 

South Florida claimed the team victory with three straight singles victories on courts five, six and three, respectively, to defeat Boise State and advance to Saturday's second round.
