Steve Faulkner will return for his second season as head coach of the women's tennis program at the University of Montevallo.
Faulkner concurrently is a teaching professional at the Pelham Tennis Center. He was previously the tennis director at the Altadena Country Club in Birmingham for 14 years. Faulkner has also been a pro-coach with the Pelham High School varsity team for the past six years, and is a certified teaching professional with the United States Professional Tennis Association since 1987.
A 1985 graduate in Computer Information Systems at Jacksonville State University, Faulkner is also Chairman of Junior Competition for the United States Tennis Association-Alabama, helping oversee junior tournaments throughout the state. He has served on the USTA-Alabama committee since 1997.
Faulkner, with wife Sandy, and children Lauren, 15, and Cameron, 10, reside in Alabaster. Lauren currently competes with the varsity team at Thompson High School.
